Founded unsurprinslgy by Ed Sbragia after a long run of time as winemaker at Beringer, five thousand cases of wine are now produced at this small outstanding vintner. Family owned and operated, Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel are produced solely from grapes grown on the families 30 acre estate in the Dry Creek Valley AVA. Certainly interesting wines, the wine critics are often counfounded by all the complxity in their glass. Consumers love the extracted wines and the story behind them. Long term, taking a winemaker accustomed to making literally millions of cases per year and now only making a few thousand will almost always encourage a dramatic improvement in quality, which is certainly what we have seen in this case.
